Festival Program, Activities & Camping Information
Another fabulous lineup for Bony Mountain Folk Festival 2026. This will be Festival number 16 – wow! Had no idea when we kicked this off how popular it would become. Quite a few of our patrons tell me they make this their special getaway for the year – they love coming to Bony Mountain.
If you have never attended – you are in for a treat. We call it “Our Little Festival in the Bush” and so it is – nestled in a natural bushland setting. Our Marquee ensures the weather is not an issue – we never cancel – rain, hail or shine our Festival goes ahead.
We have fifty acres here – so plenty of room for big rigs – buses – goosenecks – fifth wheelers – tents – campers – motor homes – all welcome.
We also have terrific internet / phone reception here – and a bitumen road right to the gate.

Camping & Facilities

Dogs at the Festival
We welcome your four-legged friends (on a lead) – we do have precious wildlife around the property.
By popular demand we will also have a large dog run and play area – approximately half an acre – where doggies can run free and have a good time.
Additional dog-friendly features include:
- Local dog groomer available for Doggie baths
- The always popular Doggie Parade on Sunday
Food & Vendors
Bony Mountain caters for most of the food, using great local produce and meats.
Food available includes:
- Our famous “Shack” serving top local fillet steaks
- Hamburgers
- Fish & Chips
- Boutique Coffee Shop
We will also have The Bazaar, selling pre-loved clothing and assorted items.
Market Stalls on Sunday – Coffee Shop – Ice Cream – Cakes & Slices.
Payment at the gate is available via EFTPOS or Cash.
Festival Program Overview
Early Festival Activities (Tuesday – Thursday)
Several activities begin earlier in the week before the main festival days.
Ukulele School
Ukulele School begins Tuesday and runs two sessions daily – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Participants work together throughout the week before performing in the big Ukulele School Concert on Sunday.
Walk-Up Program
Our Walk-Up Program begins Tuesday morning and runs daily until Thursday night, hosted by Pete “Smokie” Dawson.
Festival guests are welcome to perform and take part in these relaxed music sessions.
Cash prizes are awarded for our favourite Walk-Ups – voted by the crowd – with the winners performing again on Sunday.
Billy Tea & Damper
Billy Tea & Damper every morning from Tuesday through Thursday.
Campfire Concerts
Campfire concerts take place Tuesday and Wednesday nights, hosted by Aussie Radio with Phil Cale, near HQ.
Thursday Night
The festival’s Welcome Concert takes place Thursday night featuring Norma O’Hara Murphy and friends.
Main Festival Days
The main festival program runs across:
- Friday 18 September
- Saturday 19 September
- Sunday 20 September
Professional artists do not perform until Friday, with performances running through to Sunday.
Feature Artists
Our Feature Artists for 2026 include:
- Hillbilly Goats
- Peter Coad & The Coad Sisters
- Runaway Dixie
- Barley Shakes
Many of our artists are award-winning Australian country and folk performers, including several who have won major country music awards such as the Golden Guitar.
Friday Program
Friday night’s concert begins at approximately 5.30 pm.
Warwick Pipe Thistle Band
The evening opens with the Warwick Pipe Thistle Band marching in. They are a world-class band and always a crowd favourite.
Norma O’Hara Murphy Album Launch
From around 6.30 pm, Norma O’Hara Murphy will officially launch her brand new album, released during the Festival.
Norma has not toured for several years and will mark her retirement with this special performance.
Feature artists perform during the Friday night concert.
Saturday Program
Saturday continues the main festival program with performances from our feature artists and musicians throughout the day and evening.
Final concert times will be confirmed closer to the event.
Sunday Program
Sunday includes several special events.
Big Gospel Concert
11AM – Sunday Big Gospel Concert featuring:
- Runaway Dixie
- The Coads
Market Stalls
Market stalls operate throughout the day.
Doggie Parade
The always popular Doggie Parade takes place on Sunday.
Vintage Car Display
We may have a Vintage Car Display on Sunday – waiting on confirmation.
Farewell Concert
Our Sunday Farewell Concert begins at 4pm and finishes around 8pm.
Sheep on the Spit
From 5pm – Sheep on the Spit, served with:
- Coleslaw
- Baked potatoes
Ukulele School Concert
Our Ukulele School participants perform their final concert on Sunday.

Artists will have merchandise available at HQ from Friday onwards, and many will be available to sign albums and meet festival guests.

Camping Departure
Many campers depart Monday 21 September, although some people like to stay an extra day or so with approval from Festival HQ.
