About Bony Mountain Folk Festival
The Bony Mountain Folk Festival is a real bush gathering out here at Bony Mountain! Traditional music comes alive over the weekend — bush balladeers, bluegrass, Celtic, folk, blues, country music, bush poetry — plenty of different styles, something for everyone really! We’ve been running for many years now and it’s always a friendly relaxed country atmosphere. Great talent coming through every year and lots of familiar faces returning as well. Around the grounds you’ll find our Bony Mountain Bazaar (lots of pre-loved clothing and interesting bits!), boutique coffee, Springdell wines, and of course great country cooking at The Shack — proper homemade style meals!
The Festival usually runs Friday through to Sunday evening — music flowing all weekend until we wind down with our farewell concert Sunday night. Our gates usually open earlier in the week so campers can come in and settle in. We have around 50 acres here so plenty of bush camping spots (toilets supplied) and many people have their favourite camps they return to each year! Markets on Sunday, walk-ups during the week, Ukulele School happening as well, and our Doggie Parade on Sunday which is always very popular — lots of ribbons and prizes! We also have fire drums burning at night, a big marquee so everything is undercover, and it’s all very relaxed — rain, hail or shine — just BYO chairs and enjoy a good country weekend!

Behind The Festival
Our Story
Bony Mountain Folk Festival has always been built on the wonderful community of artists who come here and share their music with us. From local talent through to travelling musicians and well-known Australian legends, they’re what make this festival so special.
Over the years we’ve been very lucky to have some incredible people on our stage — bush balladeers, songwriters, bluegrass bands, folk artists — all bringing their own style and stories to Bony Mountain. You’ll see familiar faces returning year after year, along with new artists coming through, and that’s what keeps it fresh and exciting.
Artists like Alan Caswell, Dianne Lindsay & Peter Simpson, Peter Coad and the Coad Sisters, and many more have all played a part in building the reputation we have today. And of course we fondly remember the great Chad Morgan, a true Aussie legend who joined us several times — he brought so much character and laughter to the festival and is very much missed.
Norma has always believed in giving artists a place where they feel welcome, where the music can just happen naturally, and where everyone — performers and crowd alike — can enjoy a good, relaxed country weekend together.
It’s really the people and the music that make Bony Mountain what it is — and we’re very proud of the community that continues to grow here each year.

What’s Included with Your Ticket
What does a festival ticket include?
Your ticket includes entry to the Bony Mountain Folk Festival and access to all festival activities including live music performances, experience areas, and community events.
Included with your ticket:
Entry to the festival grounds
Free drinking water stations
Toilet facilities
Free Ukulele School sessions
Access to markets and art displays
Access to food and coffee vendors
Dogs are welcome at the festival but must be kept under control at all times.
What should I bring with me?
To make the most of your festival experience we recommend bringing:
Camping gear if you are staying on site
Your own chairs
Sensible shoes for walking around the grounds
Sun protection
Cash or card for food vendors and markets
For campers, wheelie bins will be provided and firewood will be available for purchase (pricing to be announced).
Are tickets refundable or transferable?
Yes.
Tickets are refundable in cases of illness or trauma, and they are also transferable to another person if you are unable to attend.
What is included with a festival ticket?
Bony Mountain Folk Festival tickets include access to a full weekend of music, community activities and relaxed bushland camping.

Is Bony Mountain family-friendly?
Yes — Bony Mountain Folk Festival is a relaxed, family-friendly event welcoming people of all ages.
Children can enjoy the music, outdoor environment and community atmosphere. Dogs are also welcome, and this year we are introducing a secure fenced “Romping Area” (approximately 2 acres) where dogs can safely run and play.
Dogs must not roam loose elsewhere on the property.
Are food and facilities available on-site?
Yes. We provide a range of facilities and locally sourced food options.

Shower facilities
Food vendors will feature quality local produce, including:
Boutique coffee
Camp oven cooking
Cakes and slices
Fish and chips
Steak and hamburgers at The Shack
